Pet-Friendly by Design at Optima McDowell Mountain

For residents with pets, Optima McDowell Mountain offers something that's genuinely uncommon in residential communities: the combination of well-designed onsite amenities and direct access to the kind of outdoor terrain that makes life with an active animal feel expansive rather than constrained.

Tower 7220 at Optima McDowell Mountain includes a dog park and pet spa for grooming and cleanup after outdoor activity. The dog park is covered and lit, which keeps the ground from getting too hot underfoot and makes it usable at any hour, a practical detail in a climate where midday and evening temperatures can otherwise limit when outdoor time is comfortable for a dog. The pet spa is well-suited to the surrounding environment, where trails and open space mean dogs tend to return home dusty and ready for a rinse before heading back inside. Onsite dog grooming, dog walking, and pet sitting can also be coordinated through the building's resident services app, simplifying pet care on busy days or around travel without requiring a separate search for providers.

The grounds at Optima McDowell Mountain include pedestrian and bicycle paths that connect to the wider trail network near the McDowell Mountains, putting more substantial outdoor access within easy reach on any given morning or weekend. For dogs that benefit from varied terrain and genuine exercise, that proximity to open desert landscape and mountain trails makes a daily walk feel different from a loop around a city block. The surrounding environment is well-suited to the kind of outdoor time that keeps active animals settled and content at home.

Every residence includes a private terrace, and in Scottsdale's climate the outdoor spaces attached to individual units tend to get used regularly, for morning coffee, evening meals, and the kind of casual fresh-air access that's easy to build into a routine. For pets that enjoy being outside without always needing a structured walk, the terrace adds a practical layer of access that complements everything else the community offers.
