Scottsdale Quarter: North Scottsdale’s Award-Winning Lifestyle Destination, Just Minutes from Home

One of the greatest luxuries of living at Optima McDowell Mountain™ is having Scottsdale’s best experiences practically in your backyard. Just over two miles from the community, Scottsdale Quarter has become one of North Scottsdale’s most beloved destinations for shopping, dining, wellness, and entertainment. More than a shopping center, it's an everyday gathering place where residents can meet friends for coffee, update their wardrobe, discover the latest home design inspiration, or simply spend an afternoon enjoying Scottsdale's signature indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

Recently recognized among the nation's best, Scottsdale Quarter was nominated for USA TODAY's 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards as one of the Top 10 Shopping Centers in the Country and was named Arizona Foothills Magazine's Best of Our Valley Shopping Center of 2026. These accolades reflect what locals have known for years: Scottsdale Quarter offers a thoughtfully curated mix of nationally recognized brands, local favorites, beautiful outdoor spaces, and community experiences that make every visit feel special.

A perfect day at Scottsdale Quarter might begin with a morning coffee from Press Coffee or a fresh juice from Pressed Juicery before heading to a favorite workout or wellness appointment. Whether you're stopping by Drybar for a refresh before an evening out or grabbing a healthy lunch from Sweetgreen, the Quarter makes it easy to blend productivity, self-care, and leisure into a single outing. From there, browse the latest collections at alice + olivia, Reformation, and lululemon, or stop into Apple, Warby Parker, and Restoration Hardware. Whether you're refining your personal style or searching for inspiration for your future residence at Optima McDowell Mountain™, you'll find plenty to spark ideas.

When it's time to unwind, Scottsdale Quarter offers entertainment options that make it easy to stay close to home. Catch the latest blockbuster at the luxury cinema, challenge friends to a round of mini golf, or spend the afternoon exploring the beautifully landscaped walkways that connect shops, restaurants, and gathering spaces. The development's pedestrian-friendly design and vibrant atmosphere encourage visitors to linger a little longer and enjoy the experience.

For many Scottsdale residents, Scottsdale Quarter is also home to their favorite happy hour. With a rotating lineup of specials available throughout the property, it's easy to meet friends for a memorable midweek toast. As the sun begins to set, few spots are more popular than Culinary Dropout, where residents gather over craft cocktails, shareable plates, and lively conversation. Whether you're meeting colleagues, catching up with neighbors, or starting a night out, it's one of North Scottsdale's go-to destinations for good food and great company.

Scottsdale Quarter has also become a hub for wellness and community with a rotation of events and popups. One Saturday you may start your morning with an 8AM popup featuring a collab with local favorite AJOY Mat Pilates. Tuesday evenings, you may find locals gathering in The Quad for RIOT AZ, a free community fitness event hosted in front of lululemon, or you may catch a morning seasonal series session with barre3, Pvolve, Body Alive or Orange Theory Fitness followed by a cool-down session at lululemon. It's a welcoming opportunity to meet like-minded neighbors while enjoying fitness outdoors. Throughout the year, Scottsdale Quarter hosts a rotating calendar of events that bring the community together, including evening picnic hours complete with live music beneath string lights and swaying palm trees.

The event calendar is constantly evolving, ensuring there's always something new to experience. Seasonal celebrations, fitness classes, live music performances, family-friendly programming, and community gatherings make Scottsdale Quarter feel less like a shopping destination and more like an extension of the neighborhood itself.

At Optima McDowell Mountain™, we're fortunate to call Scottsdale Quarter one of our closest neighbors. Just minutes from home, it offers a dynamic blend of shopping, dining, entertainment, wellness, and community that perfectly complement the lifestyle residents seek in North Scottsdale. Whether you're grabbing your morning coffee, enjoying happy hour with friends, finding inspiration for your home, or attending one of the many community events, Scottsdale Quarter delivers an experience that is distinctly Scottsdale—and always nearby.
