OPTIMA®

Setting New Standards, Reaching New Heights

For more than four decades, Optima® has been developing, designing, building, marketing and managing striking urban and suburban residential communities. From the beginning, Optima® aimed to revolutionize housing by integrating all facets of new construction within one company. Optima® controls and executes every aspect of the process in-house—development, design, construction, sales and management—for a dynamic system that offers greater focus and fluidity. Each Optima® development is distinctive and customized to its physical location, with shared signature aesthetics, including strong geometric shapes, inherently beautiful building materials and open, flexible floor plans. With internationally acclaimed architects David C. Hovey, FAIA, and David Hovey Jr., AIA, at the helm, Optima® combines a deep understanding of how residents live with a commitment to building environments that enhance, rather than define, their lifestyles.

A Family Legacy

Founded by David Hovey in 1978, Optima’s very name summarizes David Hovey’s intentions and achievements—to reinvent residential housing by optimizing development, design and construction. Attentive to the smallest details of his craft, Hovey has created award-winning communities that have been internationally recognized time and again for their cutting-edge aesthetic and integration with their respective locations. Hovey works together with his son, David Hovey, Jr., AIA who carries on his father’s legacy as he continues to refine Optima’s visionary approach, innovative technology, progressive environmental standards, and architecturally striking designs.
Design Excellence
Excellence in design is at the foundation of every Optima® project. Crafted by some of the most distinguished architects in the field and inspired by the unique beauty of its natural surroundings, each development blends form with function, style with sustainability, and comfort with quality.
Commitment to Sustainability
With a long-standing dedication to environmental responsibility, Optima® continues to lead in resource-efficiency, integrating eco-friendly practices into every phase of development. From renewable building materials to energy-efficient appliances to innovative green spaces featuring indigenous vegetation, each property reflects Optima®’s dedication to creating sustainable living environments that foster harmony in both the community and the natural world.
